Quick answers

What our budtenders hear most.

Who can legally buy cannabis in Ohio?

Adults 21 and older can buy adult-use cannabis at any licensed Ohio dispensary with a valid government-issued photo ID. Medical patients buy through Ohio's medical program with an active state registration. Patients 18 and older register on their own; patients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian registered as their caregiver. Both programs are overseen by the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control.

Do I need a medical card to buy cannabis in Ohio?

No. Since adult-use sales began on August 6, 2024, anyone 21 or older can buy cannabis at a licensed Ohio dispensary with a valid ID. A medical card still has advantages: patient purchases are exempt from Ohio's 10% adult-use excise tax, and patients can buy up to four days' supply in one visit.

How much cannabis can I buy at one time in Ohio?

The Ohio Division of Cannabis Control sets a daily limit of up to 2.5 ounces of flower and up to 15,000 mg total THC across all other products, such as vapes, edibles and tinctures. The same daily limits apply to medical patients, who can also buy up to four days' worth in a single visit. Limits can change, so check the Division of Cannabis Control for the latest rules.

Where are Bloom's dispensaries in Ohio?

Bloom has seven Ohio dispensaries open — Akron, Athens, Massillon, Painesville Township, Seven Mile, South Columbus and West Columbus — with North Columbus opening soon. Every open store is open 8 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week.
