Cannabis delivery in Ohio: where things stand.

Is cannabis delivery legal in Ohio?

Not yet. Ohio's adult-use law has no provision for delivery, so adult-use customers buy in person at a licensed dispensary. Medical delivery is allowed on paper but can't start until the state's rules are written, so no licensed dispensary in Ohio can deliver today.

What Senate Bill 56 allows

Senate Bill 56, in effect since March 20, 2026, allows home delivery for registered medical patients and directs the Division of Cannabis Control to write the rules for it. Once those rules are in place, licensed dispensaries will be able to apply to deliver to patients. There's still no path to delivery for adult-use customers. Read more in Senate Bill 56, explained.

Avoid unlicensed delivery services

Any service delivering cannabis in Ohio today is operating without a license. Using one puts you at risk:

• Untested products that may contain pesticides, mold or other contaminants.
• Legal trouble — buying from an unlicensed seller is illegal, and only cannabis bought from an Ohio dispensary counts as lawful under Senate Bill 56.
• No accountability for what's in the product or how it was handled.

Licensed dispensaries like Bloom sell only lab-tested products from state-licensed cultivators and processors, with trained budtenders to help.

Legal notice. This guide is for general information, not legal advice. Ohio's cannabis laws can change at any time. Check current rules with the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control or ask a qualified attorney. Bloom only sells products from cultivators and processors licensed by the state of Ohio.
